Kitchen / Brite Food 21 Street and 8th Ave is closing.
I just talked to the owners and found out this wonderful operation is closing. Today is the last day of prepared food and the restaurant part / Brite Food is closed.Everyone should know that they can stock up - all supplies will go on sale as of Friday. A chance to say good bye and thanks To Donna and Stu for all the years of great food and service to the neighborhood.
SUCH a bummer. We love that place. I suppose this applies to Kitchen Market too?

Yes, sadly, Kitchen/Market is closing on Sunday.
very sad... 22 years.
I'm putting my guess in now what the new spot will be:
a hideous housewares store! (either that or a porn shop)

I feel like someone punched me in the stomach--I have shopped at Kitchen Market almost every week for the past six years. I can't imagine the neighborhood without it.
