Way Better Than a Street Fair

Ff07smallcolorIf your children go to school somewhere other than your neighborhood, their friends live all over the city. It's possible they may never get to know the kids right next door.  P.S. 11 is trying to change that.  Part school fund raiser and part community event, their annual Fall Festival is open to everyone, young and old alike. It's a great way to meet your neighbors.

Fiesta del Otono features the 10 piece salsa band Fajardo, Jr. Y sus Estrellas.  There's free food, hay rides with an actual horse-drawn carriage, a bake sale and a raffle.  Games will be held on the school playground and cafeteria.  A large arts and crafts area will involve painting, clay work and other creative activities.  A fire truck will be parked on the block and will be open for serious exploration.  Halloween costumes are encouraged.

And you should see what they have planned for the children.
