After many months of work, the West Side Neighborhood Alliance won a public hearing on Council Member Brewer’s bill that would raise fines on illegal hotels! This is a city wide problem, but one of the biggest offenders in the Chelsea neighborhood is the Execu Stay located on 24th Street.
The hearing will take place Monday, Dec. 3.

*1:00 public hearing in City Council Chambers, 2nd floor of City Hall.
The Alliance requests supporters to come downtown, show the Council you care about shutting down illegal hotels in residential buildings, and testify in favor of Intro 534, an important first step in new legislation to fight illegal hotels.
It’s the first time the issue has come before the City Council, and the Alliance needs your help to get this bill passed.
