This cozy little cafe in Hell's Kitchen is a great choice for a simple meal or light snack. Bis.Co. Latte, on 47th and 10th, makes over 40 different varieties of biscotti. They sell the traditional kind with just a hint of chocolate or nuts. But there are also cashew mango, chocolate chunk with orange pecan, lemon pignoli, and cherry chocolate with macadamia nuts. There are wheat free and vegan offerings and even carob ones that are puppy-safe. These classic Italian cookies are low in sugar and fat and this cafe slices them thinly so eating them isn't a tooth shattering experience.
They also have wonderful hearty soups like cream of cauliflower with walnut pesto, portobello mushroom or Cuban black bean. The delicious pumpkin and wild rice soup was garnished with toasted pumpkin seeds and came with a warm pumpernickel sesame roll. If you are still hungry, you can indulge in their fabulous gelati--strawberries and cream, expresso, chocolate hazelnut and oreo are just some of the flavors that change daily.

I can hardly wait for the weekends when I have time to head up there for Holly's delicious spinach or broccoli frittatas and a pot of hazelnut coffee. And the biscotti--a peanut butter and strawberry jam biscotti dipped into a cup of coffee is heavenly. My son is in love with her soups and muffins. I can't get him to eat my cooking, so I bring him to Holly as often as possible!
